The Glastonbury pipe is based on the alto cornamuse and like the alto cornamuse is in the key of F.

It was designed primarily for folk music with its large flared resonator giving the pipe a full rounded sound.

Being a windcap instrument however it can also fulfil a useful role in early music consorts.

Our finished Glastonbury Pipe has a plastic reed and two upward extension keys fitted as standard giving it a range of nearly 1 1/2 octaves F - b.

This instrument is made from the finest English sycamore and is presented with a plastic reed, a reed care and maintenance leaflet and fingering chart in an attractive padded sleeve.

Each instrument is hand built to special order by in house craftsmen in our own workshops in Toledo (Spain) and comes with 12 months warranty.

The same instrument is offered in kit form for home assembly.

One of the simplest kits to build our Glastonbury Pipe kit comprises just three main components, a windcap, a straight stem and a resonator, all accurately turned in English sycamore ready for assembly.

The kit also includes all the hardware parts, brass ring, upward extension keys, leather, cork etc, together with a template and a set of drills to ensure accurate tuning.

The price includes the license to build one instrument for private use.

Full instructions in a clear and concise manner and a working template ensure success even for the first time builder.

An attractive padded sleeve is available as an optional extra to protect the instruments above when finished.
